Eight original short plays with eight different casts under the helm of a team of veteran directors will be presented on the Prescott Center for the Arts stage March 3 at 2 pm and 6 pm during the 3rd Annual Young Playwrights Festival.
The plays feature a cross section of genres by a cross section of K-12 students. There will be dramas exploring physical challenges and mental health issues; comedies about office conflicts, sibling rivalries, wing-challenged insects, and Shakespearean spoofs; and a Greek tragedy staged as a melodrama. These winning entries came from two elementary school students, two middle school students, and four high school students from across Yavapai and Coconino Counties. Come support this new generation of artists.
Tickets are $7 and will be available at the door. For more information, call the PCA office at 928-445-3286.
