FOOTLOOSE, with stage adaptation by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie based on the original screenplay by Dean Pitchford, with music by Tom Snow, lyrics by Dean Pitchford, and additional music by Eric Carmen, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Loggins and Jim Steinman, will run at PCA, beginning tonight, July 18, 2013. The show is directed by Jon Meyer with musical director Chris Tenney and choreography by Amanda Woolsey.

Footloose is the musical adaptation of the mega-hit movie starring Kevin Bacon, Lori Singer, John Lithgow and Diane Wiest, with music by Kenny Loggins among others. Footloose is the story of Ren McCormack, an upbeat Chicago teen who moves to small town, Bomont, TX, in which, as a result of the efforts of a local minister , dancing and rock music have been banned after a tragic accident. The energetic show is loosely based on events that took place in the small, rural, and religious community of Elmore City, Oklahoma.
