Fountain Hills Theater has announced its exciting 2012-13 Season. In what may be the most ambitious season yet presented, FHT brings six great Mainstage shows, four shows mounted in the all-new Mainstage Too, four productions in the Youth Theater and two special engagements. Note that Mainstage Too is brand new this season – when the Youth Theater is dark, FHT will be presenting smaller comedies, plays and musicals in this venue. See full details below.

Unforgettable

Close your eyes and you'll swear that it's Nat smoothly crooning the title song, Unforgettable; Sammy dazzling the audience with Mr. Bojangles; or Peggy delivering her sultry rendition of Fever. Other songs include: Paper Moon, That's Amore, Everybody Loves Somebody, Hallelujah I Love Him So, Misty, Wonderful Wonderful, Unchain My Heart, Georgia on My Mind, Crazy, Walking After Midnight, Cracklin' Rosie, Sweet Caroline, The Candy Man, Wonderful World and more. The Soul of Broadway

THE SOUL OF BROADWAY celebrates famous tunes from the Great White Way "soul" musicals and characters, from the classics of Porgy and Bess and Big River to showstoppers from Dreamgirls and Ain't Misbehavin' and more recent hits from The Color Purple and Passing Strange. But it doesn't stop there. This musical revue takes the audience on a journey through other classic and contemporary shows such as The Lion King, Once on this Island, Aida, Hairspray and The Wiz. A Special Engagement presented by Mitchell Vantrease.

Sunset Boulevard

Based on the classic movie, Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Sunset Boulevard weaves a magnificent tale of faded glory and unfulfilled ambition. Silent movie star Norma Desmond longs for a return to the big screen, having been discarded by tinsel town with the advent of 'talkies.' Her glamour has faded in all but her mind. When she meets struggling Hollywood screen-writer Joe Gillis, their subsequent passionate and volatile relationship leads to an unforeseen and tragic conclusion. Features such songs as "With One Look" and "As If We Never Said Goodbye." Book and lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton. Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
